Kelmore Supports Local Triathlete on Journey to World Stage

News

We’re proud to announce that Kelmore is sponsoring local triathlete Leah Hoole as she continues her incredible journey representing Great Britain’s Age Group Team on the international stage.

Leah, who is from Darwen, has quickly established herself as one of the country’s most promising young endurance athletes. At just 20 years old, she has already achieved some remarkable milestones, and our sponsorship will help support her race entry fees and kit costs as she competes against the world’s best triathletes.

In 2025, Leah took on the legendary IRONMAN Lanzarote – widely regarded as one of the toughest races in the world due to its challenging terrain, strong winds and demanding conditions. Her outstanding performance secured qualification for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

More recently, Leah impressed once again at IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton, where she won her age group and finished fifth female overall. That result earned her a place at the prestigious IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France, this September, where she will proudly represent Great Britain’s Age Group Team.

Andy Moss, Operations Director at Kelmore, said:

“At Kelmore, supporting Leah is about more than sponsorship – it reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in the local community and helping local people reach their potential.

“I’ve known Leah and her family for a long time and have watched first-hand the courage, determination and discipline she brings to everything she does. The commitment required to compete at this level, particularly at such a young age, is extraordinary.

“Leah is a fantastic ambassador for our area and we’re delighted to play a small part in helping her achieve her ambitions on the international stage. The whole team wishes her the very best as she takes on the next chapter of her sporting journey representing Great Britain’s Age Group Team.”

Leah commented: “I’m incredibly grateful to Kelmore for their support. Competing in triathlon at this level comes with significant costs, and having local businesses believe in what you’re trying to achieve makes a huge difference.

“To have the opportunity to race in Great Britain’s kit and compete at events like the World Championships is something I’ve dreamed about for years. I’m excited for what’s ahead and thankful to Kelmore for helping me continue this journey.”

Leah’s achievements have earned growing recognition within the triathlon community, and many believe she has an exciting future ahead in the sport. Alongside the demands of training and competing, she has remained grounded working full-time whilst continuing to train and compete.

As a Lancashire-based manufacturer, we’re passionate about supporting our local community, and this is just one of the ways we are giving back.

Everyone at Kelmore wishes Leah the very best as she prepares to compete on the world stage in Nice later this year!
